China's Nationality Village

China's Nationality Village is located in Tong Zha City, also known as the Jadeite City, and is famous for its summer resorts. The city is situated at the southern foot of the Five-Finger Mountain. The Cultural Village is invested by Tong Zha International Recreation Center and is a large complex of cultural landscapes consisting of various estates, architecture, folk customs, and folk arts of various nationalities.

 
Inside the cultural village are more than 20 different kinds of estates built on the basis of their original landscapes. There are bamboo buildings, boat-shaped houses, and log houses, triple-houses with a court buildings in front, earthen houses, Mongolian tents and quadrangles. Visitors can also see other attractions such as a drum-shaped building, a wind and Rain Bridge, three pagodas, a calendar column, and the Great Wall. All of them are beside different villages, delicately arranged and in perfect harmony with the natural settings.
 
Minority actors and actresses from different parts of the country offer such dances as the Bamboo Dance, the Rattle Stick Dance, the Peacock Dance, the Munao Dance, the Pot Dance, and other forms of singing and dancing. People can also enjoy the performances played with such musical instruments as the ding dong, the mang drum, the elephant's leg drum, the reed-pipe wind instrument, various plucked stringed instruments, and the Sanxian, a three- stringed plucked instrument from the Han nationality.
 
Visitors can also see the lively and grand folk festival celebrations of minority nationalities, among which there are the Water-Splashing Festival, Sanyuesan, March the 3rd of the Chinese Lunar Calendar of the Li and Miao nationalities, the Torch Festival, and more. In other cultural villages, Visitors will also enjoy various kinds of ritual performances which are simple and unsophisticated. Each of these amusements has its own features. Tourists find them pleasing to both their eyes and minds.
 
The Cultural Village also offers different diets of minority nationalities, which are of unique flavor. These include Shanlan wine, Bamboo Rice, Three Brewed Tea, Salted Fish, and Fried milk. As the largest minority nationalities' customs sightseeing area in Hainan, the Cultural Village also owns a four-star hotel and some other complete sets of facilities designed for holidays and recreation.
