Wang Village,also known as Hibiscus Town (Furong Town) in Zhangjiajie,is the nice little town where the movie Hibiscus Town was filmed.Arriving in Mengdong River, you could not miss the sightseeing in Furongzhen.

 
The original name of Furongzhen is Wang Village. It is an old village with two thousand years of history, used to be controlled by Xiyang county. In history it is called Xiyangxiongzhen. In 940 A.D., King of Chu, Ma Xi Fan and Xizhou provincial governor Peng Shi Chou negotiate peace after many years of wars, and signed agreement for coalition, and divided two parts for each of them by the boundary, and they cast a 5000 kilo copper pillar as evidence, for thousand years, this copper pillar in Xizhou stands at the river side of Mengdong River, in memory of the history of cultural exchanges of Tujia and Han nationalities.

Wang Village is famous, as it is also the place for the shooting of famous film “Hibiscus Town”. The specialty of the scenery attracts artists, all the exterior sceneries of the film “Hibiscus Town” is taken from here. Hibiscus Town becomes famous, and Wang Village, with the showing of this film, is known to many people.
 
The stone paved lane in Hibiscus Town (Furong Town), Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province.In the mornings, when grey mists envelope the harbor in gossamer robes, the ambience is both sinister and romantic, conjuring visions of smugglers, bandits and chivalrous swordsmen dressed in white.
 
The mystique of Hibiscus Town is centered in the area around the harbor. The best way to spend an evening in this rustic village is to patronize the old-fashioned quayside cafes which offer piping hot dishes amidst panoramic sunsets.
 
When night falls, fisherman’s lights are everywhere on the river. Tourist should not miss the colorful nationality performances showed here. And you can join them for hand waving dancing, Maogusi dancing, and taste the original “Daliuzi”, “weeping for marriage”, tourists can feel Xiangxi Tujia peoples strength, bold and uninhibited manner, simple and full of affection.
