Window of the World

Established in Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town, the new large tourist center covers an area of 480,000 square meters. Splendid China Miniature Scenic Spot and China Folk Culture Villages are not very far from the site.

 
Marvelous sights and sites of historical interest in the world, ancient and modern, natural landscapes and cultural sites as well as dwelling houses, sculptures, drawings and even folklore and theatrical performances, each reappears in wonderful miniature replica, made on a scale of 1:1, 1:5 and 1:1.5 respectively.
 
Window of the World, superb in workmanship and lifelike, is a window of histories, civilizations and attractions.
 
Division
The center is divided into nine scenic areas according to the geographical position and its category: the World Square, the Area of Asia, the Area of Oceanic, the Area of Europe, the Area of Africa, the Recreational Center of Modern Science and Technology, the Sculpture Park and the International Street. Among the 118 scenic spots, you can find the pyramid and the Amon Temple of Karnak, the Angkor Wat of Cambodia, the Grand Canyon of America, L'Arc de Triomphe of Paris, the St. Peter's Cathedral of Vatican, the Taj Mahal of India, the Sydney Opera House of Australia, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
 
Some large-sized spectacular attractions are also available, like the 108-meter-tall Eiffel Tower that stands erect. Once reaching its top by elevator, one can take in the beauty of scenery of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. In addition, the Niagara Falls in miniature is more than 80 meters wide and 10 meters tall. Tourists will also be fascinated by the view of the active Hawaii Volcanoes, an intriguing scene of glowing blazes with surging melting lava, and the fountains, which are spurting water as high as 100 meters.
 
World Square
Activities are usually held at the entrance of the World Square, which has a capacity of more than 10,000. Here stand the six world-renowned statues. Around the Square there're 108 giant pillars of different styles, the large relief on a wall of 2,00 square meters or so, and what's more, the six huge gates representing the birthplaces of the ancient civilizations. Wonderful performances are presented on the richly ornamented stage to sate all holidaymakers.
 
Erecting amid the forest of the fragrant litchi, 50 more sculpted figures were exquisitely modeled on the celebrated statures in the world: the Monument to Johann Strauss, the Discus-Thrower, the Apollo and the Thinker, etc.
 
International Street
International Street is mainly composed of the residential architecture of European, Asian and Islamic styles. Churches, markets and streets are merged together, forming a comprehensive service area, where tourists can sit and taste the delicious food of France, Italy, Australia, Russia, Japan, Thailand and Korea as well as the German beer and the Hawaii ice cream. You may choose a variety of handicrafts and souvenirs with perfect skills from different countries.
