★ Stone Forest

★ Golden Temple
There is a fine building made of bronze. This is the largest Taoist Tongwa (bronze-tiled) Temple in China and has been preserved almost intact. It is commonly known as Jindian (the Golden Temple).
★ Yuantong Temple
On the south side of Yuantong Hill is the 1200 years old Yuantong Temple. It is one of the most active Buddhist temples in Kunming and a destination of pilgrimage for pilgrims worldwide.
★ Daguan Pavilion Park
Daguan Park is a very beautiful lakeside park on the lakefront of Kunming Dianchi Lake. When climb on its Daguan Pavilion, tourists can see very grand view.
★ Black Dragon Pool
Black Dragon Pool, located in the northern outskirts of Kunming, is a famous Taoist center in the in Kunming area. Legend goes that that there was a black dragon living in the pool, hence the name. Surrounded by towering old trees and bamboo groves, the pool has never got dry even in the years of drought.
Kunming is rich in local snacks and delicacies. When dusk falls, many streets are lined with food stalls which serve various local snacks. The foods are mouth-watering and always make people fell it is a great happy to live in this city! If you are traveler to Kunming, never forget to try some unique ethnic foods. Airplane and train are the major transporting means to enter and leave Kunming. The airport is only 7 kilometers from the city center. A taxi between the city center and the airport will cost 15 - 25 RMB, depending on the place you arrive. Public buses No. 52, 67, and 78 serve the area for 1 RMB per person (2 RMB if air-conditioned) but will almost definitely take more time to arrive than a taxi will.
Kunming Railway Station, also known as Nanyao Railway Station, is the main railway station in Kunming. It is 4 kilometers from the center of the city. This station is more useful to travelers because most outbound trains depart from here. Trains to Dali, Yuxi etc., operate daily.
Over 6000 taxis roam the city streets. They can be easily halted in the street. 8 RMB is charged for the first 3 kilometers and after that 1.8 RMB is added for each additional kilometer. Fares also increase while sitting in traffic, so taking taxis during rush hour may cost a bit more if there is excessive traffic.
There are over 50 bus lines that zigzag throughout almost every section in Kunming. It usually costs a mere 1 RMB to take a public bus. During the rush hour, traveling via public bus will be more economical than taxi.

Kunming has a mild climate, and can be visited at any time of year without need of great clothing adjustments.
In spring and autumn, a wool sweater and a thick jacket are needed. The summer is not very hot, so, a shirt is ok for the day. Additionally, a jacket is still needed in early morning and evening. Kunming has a mild winter. Even though, travelers are recommended to bring wool or heavy jacket.
Rainwear or umbrella is necessary especially during the rain season from May to October. If you go to Kunming in the summer, a sunglass will be very useful.
• Kunming is located on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The sunshine is very severe. So please bring your sunglass and suntan oil.
• ATM machine is hard to be found in the outskirts or rural areas. So if you plan to go these areas, you are recommended to draw enough money beforehand in urban areas.
• When visit the ethnic groups or villages, please respect the local customs and beliefs, avoiding be in conflict with local people.
• Elder travelers need to bring the usual medicine.
• Eat in clean restaurant and take care of your stomach.
