B.The Palace Museum

The Palace Museum Set up in the 18th year of the emperor Yongle reign of Ming Dynasty (1420 B.C.), the Imperial Palace is the largest and the best preserved ancient palaces group in China and even among the world. With a total area of 720,000 square meters of which 160,000 square meters is the construction proportion, it includes more than 9000 palaces,where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties once resided and exerted their sovereign power. In 1987, the Palace Museum was included in the World Heritage by the WHC of UNESCO.

With their unique building style, Hutong of Beijing has already had a history of more than 800 years. Nearly one third of the downtown population lives in Hutongs, keeping a life style in many traditional ways.Is there any possibility to find out the number of Hutongs in Beijing that spread all over the city?
