  • The mementoes sold in hotels or shops are more expensive than that of the stalls. However first learn how to haggle with those tricky peddlers before you buy from the peddlers.
  • Avoid purchasing valuable artworks from peddlers. If you really want to buy some souvenirs, just go to supermarkets, malls, or shopping centers.
  • Not all the vendors are as honest as they look like. Some of them will give short weight, even though the goods appear cheaper than in supermarket.
  • Generally, the handiwork of coconut is sold in stationary stalls. You may find them in the city center.
  • If you don't want to buy anything from the peddlers, leave them as far as possible or refuse them decidedly at the very beginning, otherwise you will be followed until you pay for it even you are not willing to buy it.
  • No matter where you go shopping or what you buy, whether in street stalls or specialty shops, remember to bargain. Crafty vendors are more than happy to lighten your cash load.
  • Never easily consider a price reasonable comparing the one in your own country. They might ask for 10 times or more than the usual, you will definitely be ripped off.
  • You’d better not listen to the recommendation of taxi drivers on the dining, shopping, hotels and sightseeing sites.
  • Do not to buy the coral or turtle. They are strictly prohibited to sell.
